The journey was tough, but it’s been a rewarding one. When we decided to breathe new life into the old Speedlock brand-name, we were under no illusion that this was more than a simple name change.
Along with a new name a company needs an entirely new level of performance and additions to an existing product line that can take you to the next step.
It was a major venture to re-brand, reshape, restructure and overall reinvent ourselves so as to serve the market more dynamically and meet their product expectations head on as a one-stop shop for ducting technologies.
Today, we can boast about some amazing things. Since we became Eximo, we have closed some of our officers and don’t feel ashamed about it one little bit!
Why? Because we closed our officers in the South Island of New Zealand, Brisbane and our office in Victoria, not because we’re doing badly. But because our local distributors in those areas were doing so well!
This vindicates our ambitious plan to put more control of product delivery into the hands of reputable, local people, both through the large industrial supply merchants and strong independent groups in outlying areas, rather than trying to handle it from one head office.
Yet this hasn’t been our only success. We have become much closer to our technical partners, the skilled people that work out their installing our product into various industrial applications, doing our best to give them exactly what they need – the fast job turnaround and better profits for themselves and us.
We must be one of the few companies in Australia which, in our day and age, has actually been able to lower the prices in some items, purely because we have streamlined the way in which we work.
It has been only one year, and it has been a lot of hard work, but we have shown exceptional results in what is widely regarded by economists as ‘that shaky first 12 months’.
We are confident of continued growth in a market where we can supply technical partners across Australia New Zealand with the very best in ducting products as quickly and efficiently as possible through strong distributor networks right throughout these two countries.
